The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning (Rowing) is ideal for learners interested in coaching strength and conditioning sessions within a fitness and club environment.
They will learn about the principles and practice of safe, ethical, and effective management and coaching of strength and conditioning for sport coaching sessions, preparing them to deliver sessions to adults and young people.
This pathway includes a unit on technical coaching requirements for strength and conditioning for rowing.
This qualification sits within a suite of progressive strength and conditioning coaching qualifications and is recognised as the industry standard Level 2 qualification for coaching strength and conditioning.
It is supported by British Rowing and a range of employers that employ strength and conditioning for sport coaches.
Qualification Progression

Following a period of practice as a qualified coach, learners may choose to develop their skills by progressing to the; 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport, 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training or 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing,
Learners may also wish to complete the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Weight Lifting.
This qualification may lead to paid or voluntary roles as a strength and conditioning for sport coach or they may wish to explore other industry-relevant roles which include:
