Overview
The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Equestrian Coaching (Eventing) is ideal for learners interested in coaching equestrian sessions and taking responsibility for the ongoing development of participants.
They will learn how to plan, deliver and review a series of linked and progressive equestrian coaching sessions independently, though they may work as part of a larger team.
This will give them a key understanding of the practical and theoretical aspects of delivering equestrian coaching sessions to their participants.
This pathway includes a unit on technical coaching requirements for eventing.
This qualification is recognised as the industry standard Level 2 qualification for equestrian coaches by the British Equestrian Federation, its member bodies and UK Coaching.
Qualification Progression
The skills and knowledge developed may also be used to enable learners to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications in equestrian coaching, such as the Level 3 Qualification in Equestrian Coaching. Learners may also be able to access British Equestrian Federation regional Continual Professional Development workshops.
This qualification may lead to paid employment or unpaid voluntary roles in equestrian coaching, either working independently or as part of a coaching team. Other roles that the learner may consider exploring include Activity Leader, Official, or Sports Volunteer.
